Role overview

We are looking to recruit experienced SIA Door Supervisors to support our Events team throughout the year. As part of the team, you will be responsible for securing the venue, staff and guests at a wide range of entertainment events.

Key responsibilities

  • Search visitors on entry in line with venue and event procedures

  • Ensure that no prohibited or restricted items are brought into the event

  • Carry out event safety checks as required

  • Monitor customer behaviour to identify and manage potential issues

  • Deal promptly and professionally with any visitor disruptions

Skills and experience

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Good customer service skills, providing a friendly and professional presence

  • Strong communication and teamwork, working closely with venue staff, emergency services and fellow door supervisors

Qualifications and requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)

  • Valid First Aid Certificate preferred

Pay and hours

  • Payment of £13.00 per hour

  • Job type Part-time

  • Weekend availability required

Role overview

We are recruiting qualified Traffic Marshalls to support events throughout the year in Milton Keynes. You will play a key role in managing vehicle and pedestrian movements, helping to keep people safe and traffic flowing smoothly in busy environments.

Essential qualification

Please do not apply unless you hold one of the following:

  • SWQR Unit 01 Signing / Lighting & Guarding Qualification, or

  • Equivalent Lantra Award

SWQR Unit 01 Signing / Lighting & Guarding certification (or equivalent Lantra Award) is required for this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and manage traffic flow in designated areas, ensuring the safety of pedestrians and vehicles

  • Control access to restricted areas and enforce parking regulations

  • Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians and other personnel to provide instructions and guidance

  • Monitor traffic conditions and report any incidents or hazards to the appropriate authorities

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicles entering and exiting the premises

  • Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimise risks and accidents

Skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals

  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high pressure situations

  • Attention to detail to accurately record information and identify potential risks

  • Good problem solving skills to address traffic related issues efficiently

  • Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay, hours and requirements

  • Pay rate £15.00 per hour

  • Minimum 5 hours pay per shift

You will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing unauthorised access and responding promptly to incidents. Key responsibilities

  • Conduct regular surveillance of the premises and physical patrols to deter unauthorised activities

  • Monitor access points, check identification and manage visitor logs to control entry and exit

  • Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies or suspicious activity, ensuring appropriate action is taken

  • Carry out loss prevention activities by identifying potential theft or vandalism and implementing preventative measures

  • Provide first aid assistance when required and maintain readiness for emergency situations

  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities and security breaches

  • Collaborate with local authorities or emergency services during incidents or investigations when necessary

Skills and experience

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to report incidents clearly

  • Basic first aid knowledge is desirable to provide immediate assistance if needed

  • Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Physically fit, with the ability to stand for extended periods and patrol large areas

We are looking for Event Stewards to join our Event Stewarding team in Milton Keynes. You will have the opportunity to work at a variety of local events throughout the year, helping to create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome all visitors to the event with a friendly and professional manner

  • Deal with visitor queries and provide additional information about the event

  • Check access passes where required

  • Help direct and manage the flow of foot traffic around the venue

  • Deliver an excellent level of customer service to support the smooth running of the event

  • Be the eyes and ears of the event, ensuring the safety team have the information they need

Skills and experience

The following skills are advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided for successful candidates:

  • Previous experience working as an Event Steward

  • Previous customer service experience

  • A good level of verbal and written English

  • The ability to react calmly in high pressured situations
